About us

Academy for Humans was founded by a children’s book author and homeschooling mama of four. Academy for Humans was created with the purpose of developing curriculum and study units that meets kids where they are in the way they learn best – hands on.

Krista is currently pursuing her MSEd in Reading and Literacy Instruction from an International Dyslexia Association accredited university. She is Orton-Gillingham Trained and believes in Direct, Explicit, Systematic, Cumulative and Diagnostic instruction.
